Pukekohe Raceway sounded out the roar of perfectly tuned
engines, laughter and nervous chatter as 40 patients from Mercy
Hospice Auckland gathered for a day of fun, friendship, fast cars
and food at the Mercy Hospice "Race for Life."
But a hot lap in a fast red car was not all the patients got to
experience. They were also treated to a helicopter tour over
the beautiful Pukekohe countryside.
Race for Life is yet another example of what our community does
for Hospice. A crew of 50 community volunteers and 15 Hospice
Volunteers made Race for Life 2010 a reality.
